iContainers offers the 20 DV shipping container. If you need a container for storage or another intended use, contact us to confirm the availability, condition and specifications of the particular unit.
Choosing the container and its dimensions
Start with what you intend to store and how it will be loaded. Check usable internal dimensions, the door opening and access to the container. The designation 20 DV describes a container type; it does not replace checking the specifications of the particular unit.
Condition, equipment and adaptations
Describe your requirements for the condition and intended use of the container. If you need additional openings, services or interior finishes, explain the proposed adaptations. Their feasibility and effect on the container’s intended use must be agreed separately.
What should you confirm before ordering a 20 DV container?
- Usable dimensions and door opening, taking into account the largest items and loading method.
- The condition of the floor, doors, seals and locks; ask for current photographs of the unit offered.
- Required loads and the arrangement of stored items, especially heavy equipment or shelving.
- Storage conditions, including any humidity and temperature requirements.
- Transport, unloading and preparation of the installation area.

The frame and floor cross-members are made from steel sections up to 4 mm thick; the walls are made from corrugated steel sheet.
The floor covering is usually made from timber panels or 28 mm plywood.
The container doors have four locking bars and a complete set of seals.
Lashing points are fitted inside near the roof and floor. The maximum load for a single lashing point is 1000 kg.
